Understanding the relationship between business and ethics
Ethical business operations is a critical element in attracting and keeping customers today for if you do not have customers you do not have a business. Ethical conduct within businesses today may not seem like a big deal to some who own or operate businesses but it is. Customers trust businesses and those in charge of them to be honest not only in the products and services they provide but to be honest in conversations with them.
Today more than ever there is competition around the world and American companies are in a unique position to gain a foothold in increasing their share of the market. The key to attaining this objective is conducting themselves ethically in everything they do. One thing about completion is that if companies are not providing the atmosphere customers want other sources will surface to provide it. Operating a business today as previously mentioned is tough and businesses must adapt to a changing environment or they will no longer exist, they will be squeezed out.
Ethics is not the only thing affecting businesses today it is also about honesty in their dealings with customers. Businesses must cater to the needs of their customers and do it honestly and with ethical conduct in place. Customers appreciate honesty and customers are not just individuals but other businesses. Businesses who purchase products and services from other businesses want good service and good products that live up to the function as designed. When businesses do not receive the products and services that are promoted from other businesses it hurts their reputation they have with their customers. When this occurs both businesses suffer unless action is taken to resolve any issues.
